Ashley Herrera

A mother of two amazing children and a wife to a supportive husband. As a certified yoga instructor specializing in Prenatal and Postnatal yoga, my passion is to guide and empower women through their pregnancy journeys.

My first pregnancy had unexpected challenges, leading to an induction and NICU stay. Despite the fear, the experience left me with an overwhelming sense of accomplishment and joy. My second birth was swift, surprising and empowering, as I delivered my son in less than five minutes.

​

These personal experiences, combined with overcoming fertility, fueled my dedication to supporting other women. I created Prenatal Yoga: From Bump to Birth to offer tailored guidance, comprehensive content, and holistic support, connecting you with a community of amazing mothers!

Trimester

Focuses on slow movement and relaxing poses. This is a very special time during your pregnancy journey where your body needs lost of rest as it starts to form your baby. Gentle movement is a nice way to move and feel good without overdoing it or doing nothing. It can also help with morning sickness.

Weeks 14 - 27

During the second trimester your baby continues to grow bigger and you can now feel them move. Your body is also going to start expanding to accommodate these changes. The yoga classes focus on intentional movement, and building strength and stability so you can feed good in your changing body!

Weeks 28 - 42

The yoga classes continue with intentional movement and building strength. Later in your third trimester the classes start to change to more opening, asymmetrical movement and labour preparation. This is where you practice all the breath work and tuning inward as you prepare to meet your baby!
